Senior Application Security Engineer

As a Senior Application Security Engineer at Moniepoint, you will drive security across our services and development pipelines. Your responsibilities include acting as a Security Champion across product teams, embedding application security into product lifecycles, and empowering engineering teams to build and release secure products. You will conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement remediation strategies to ensure the safety and integrity of our applications.

Candidates should have a deep understanding of the secure software development lifecycle and first principles of secure-by-design engineering. Proficiency in security scanning tools, incident and remediation workflows, and security automation is required. Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential. Proven experience with penetration testing or red-team engagements, identifying and exploiting application-level vulnerabilities, is beneficial. Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, or GXPN are a plus.
