Clinical Document Improvement Specialist - Sacramento, CA

The Clinical Document Improvement Specialist Lead (LCDS) is responsible for providing CDI program oversight and day-to-day CDI implementation of processes. This includes reviewing clinical documents to ensure accuracy and completeness, educating staff on documentation best practices, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to improve clinical documentation. Your role will enhance the quality of patient records and support accurate coding and billing processes.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or coding, with a strong understanding of ICD-10 coding and clinical documentation standards. A Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification is preferred. Excellent communication skills, the ability to educate and mentor staff, and strong analytical skills are essential.
