Founding Web Automation Engineer

As a Founding Web Automation Engineer at Firecrawl, you'll lead the development of critical browser technology and infrastructure, directly shaping how our browser stack drives our entire product. You'll work closely with the founders to implement and experiment with new techniques on the cutting edge of browser automation, applying state-of-the-art and open-source models to generalize web extraction at scale, and building better libraries and tools to help AI interact with the web.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of development experience, with proficiency in advanced web automation, including web scraping with web driver frameworks such as Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium. Experience with LLM agents is also required. Ideal candidates are curious, resourceful problem-solvers who thrive in small teams and are eager to learn and grow. A deep understanding of headless browsers and web scraping, as well as experience with advanced web automation topics like rotating proxies and bot fingerprinting, are considered bonus points.
