Underwriting Associate

As an Underwriting Associate at biBERK, a Berkshire Hathaway company, you'll evaluate risks for small business insurance policies, including Workers’ Compensation, Businessowners’, Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Umbrella policies. You'll perform independent verification of insured operations, review and process policy changes, and participate in underwriting training for new products and processes. This role offers a great opportunity to start a career in the commercial insurance industry.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree with a strong score on the Wonderlic test. Prior experience in underwriting is a plus but not required. Strong investigative skills, excellent communication and customer service abilities, adaptability in a changing environment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team setting are essential. Proficiency in using the internet as a research tool and excellent time management skills are also important.
